New research has found a growing number of today’s mums are looking into or considering becoming their own boss.

A new report from Nominet and The UK Domain found that a significant number of millennial mothers are looking to alter the traditional work paradigm in order to create a better work/life balance.

38% of millennial mums plan to be their own boss in the future, with 17% aiming to set up their own business within the next year.

A further 21% expected to be their own boss within the next five years.

28% of those interviewed had already set up their own website and/or professional email address.

The results of the research reflect a growing shift in the mentality of many members of the UK workforce, who are realising the potential benefits of self-reliance in the employment space.
